Redock Terms of Service

Read the Redock terms covering SSH hosts, commands, third-party services, in-app purchases, acceptable use, and liability.

Effective Date: May 6, 2026

Operator: Redock

Contact: zhangshangyu1994@gmail.com

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Redock, an iOS application for managing SSH hosts, terminal workspaces, quick actions, projects, snippets, run history, speech input, file browsing, and related productivity features (the "App").

Please read these Terms carefully. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. What Redock Does

Redock is a mobile workbench for connecting to systems you control or are authorized to access. The App helps you:

  • save SSH host connection settings;
  • open terminal workspaces and tmux sessions;
  • run reusable shell or agent commands;
  • organize projects, snippets, and working directories;
  • view non-interactive run records;
  • browse remote files through SFTP when available;
  • transcribe speech into terminal input when enabled; and
  • optionally sync supported configuration through iCloud.

Redock is not a cloud IDE, hosting provider, managed server, backup service, security scanner, or source code repository.

2. Eligibility and Authority

You may use the App only if you can legally enter into these Terms and only in compliance with applicable law.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to access each host, account, repository, file, network, service, AI coding agent, and command you use with Redock. Do not use Redock to access systems or data without authorization.

3. Your Data, Hosts, and Commands

You control the hosts, commands, snippets, projects, working directories, SSH credentials, API keys, and other settings you configure in the App.

Commands executed through Redock may create, modify, delete, transmit, or expose files, repositories, secrets, server state, running processes, or other data on your devices, remote hosts, or third-party services. You are solely responsible for reviewing commands before running them and for maintaining backups of important data.

Redock may provide built-in snippets for common tools such as shell, Git, tmux, Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, and similar developer tools. These snippets are provided for convenience only. You are responsible for verifying that each command is appropriate for your environment before execution.

4. Third-Party Services and Tools

Redock may interoperate with third-party services and tools, including but not limited to:

  • Apple services such as iCloud, CloudKit, Keychain, Speech, StoreKit, and App Store purchase management;
  • SSH servers, SFTP servers, tmux, Git, shells, remote operating systems, and local network discovery;
  • speech transcription providers such as Apple Speech, OpenAI, OpenAI-compatible endpoints, and Volcengine;
  • analytics or diagnostics providers if enabled in the App build; and
  • AI coding agents or command-line tools installed on your hosts.

Your use of third-party services and tools is governed by their own terms, policies, prices, rate limits, availability, and security practices. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their actions, outputs, downtime, data handling, or changes.

5. SSH Credentials and Security

Redock may store SSH passwords, SSH private keys, API keys, and related secrets in Apple Keychain or iCloud Keychain depending on your settings and platform behavior. You are responsible for:

  • protecting your device, Apple ID, passcode, biometrics, and backups;
  • securing any remote hosts and accounts you connect to;
  • rotating credentials when needed;
  • removing credentials from Redock when you no longer need them; and
  • ensuring that any imported or generated SSH key is authorized only where appropriate.

No security system is perfect. You should not rely on Redock as your only protection for sensitive systems or source code.

6. iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync, supported Redock configuration may be stored in your private iCloud account using Apple services. Some secrets may use Keychain or iCloud Keychain behavior depending on your settings.

You are responsible for your Apple ID, iCloud account, iCloud storage, iCloud Keychain settings, and device trust configuration. Sync availability depends on Apple services and your account status.

7. Speech Input

Speech input is optional. If enabled, Redock records audio so it can transcribe speech into terminal input text. Depending on your selected provider, audio and related request metadata may be processed by Apple, OpenAI, an OpenAI-compatible endpoint you configure, Volcengine, or another selected provider.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to record and transcribe any speech you submit, including speech from other people.

8. In-App Purchases and Pro Features

Redock may offer paid plans, subscriptions, lifetime purchases, or other premium features through Apple's in-app purchase system.

Purchases are processed by Apple, not directly by us. Apple may handle billing, tax, payment information, refunds, subscription cancellation, family sharing eligibility, and renewal management. Subscription plans renew automatically unless cancelled according to Apple's rules and account settings.

Feature availability may vary by plan, device, operating system version, region, App Store availability, or technical requirements. We may change, add, or remove paid features in future versions, subject to applicable law and App Store rules.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Redock to:

  • access systems, accounts, networks, data, or repositories without authorization;
  • deploy malware, credential theft, spam, phishing, or abusive automation;
  • violate applicable law or third-party rights;
  • interfere with the security, availability, or integrity of any system;
  • bypass usage limits, purchase requirements, or platform restrictions;
  • reverse engineer the App except where allowed by law;
  • use the App in a way that could harm Redock, Apple, third-party providers, or other users; or
  • use the App for high-risk activities where failure could lead to death, personal injury, severe property damage, or environmental damage.

10. Your Content and Feedback

You retain any rights you have in your own host settings, commands, snippets, projects, run outputs, files, code, speech, feedback, and other content.

If you send us feedback, bug reports, suggestions, or feature requests, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them to improve Redock without obligation to compensate you.

11. Intellectual Property

Redock, including its design, software, product names, logos, and documentation, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Redock to you.

Third-party components, open-source software, SDKs, services, and command-line tools remain subject to their respective licenses and terms.

12. Updates and Changes to the App

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the App at any time. Updates may be required for security, compatibility, App Store compliance, or continued access to certain features.

13. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Redock is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, compatible with every host, compatible with every terminal program, or free from data loss.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, safety, or suitability of commands, snippets, speech transcription results, AI coding agent outputs, run outputs, terminal rendering, reconnect behavior, SFTP behavior, or third-party service responses.

You are responsible for verifying commands, maintaining backups, and using appropriate safeguards before performing destructive or sensitive operations.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, code, credentials, goodwill, business opportunities, or system availability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the App or these Terms will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us for the App or Pro features during the twelve months before the claim; or (b) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

15. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the App, your commands, your hosts, your content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

16. Termination

You may stop using Redock at any time. You may delete the App from your device and remove local or synced data according to the App's available controls and Apple platform behavior.

We may suspend or terminate access to any services we operate if you violate these Terms, create risk, or use the App unlawfully. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and dispute provisions.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict of law rules, unless mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the App will be resolved in the courts or dispute forum located in [DISPUTE VENUE], unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as updating the effective date, posting the updated Terms, or providing an in-app notice. Your continued use of the App after the updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
