Before you start
- Activate Redock Pro and confirm that SSH works.
- Install your agent on the remote machine. Run the agent and
redock-hookas the same user. - On Windows, use WSL2 and connect to SSH inside the same distribution. Native PowerShell sessions are not supported.
Install & pair
- Add the SSH host on Launch, then open Profile → Agent Settings.
- Under Install & Pair, choose the saved host. Redock installs
redock-hook, detects existing agents, and pairs this device. - Confirm the machine under Paired Hosts. Pairing does not mean an SSH connection is currently open.
- Enable Usage Sync and Updates & Notifications as needed. Check System Notifications and Live Activities permissions.
- Start the agent. In Codex, open
/hooksand allow the Redock hooks when requested.
For another machine, expand Manual Setup and run the generated command there. The copy icon beside Pair Code copies only the code.
Verify
- Updates / Usage: open the robot button on Activity and check for new data after using the agent. Usage updates may take around two minutes after collection.
- Chat View: connect a terminal, start Codex, Claude Code, or Pi, then use the view-switch button beside the composer. Chat is independent of the notification and usage switches.
Update the integration
If you install another agent later, run setup again. Use Update Hook when shown; its installed version stays visible on the host card.
