Overview
Yazi is a keyboard-driven terminal file manager that must be installed on the remote Host before use. It can browse directories, preview many file types, search, select multiple items, and perform common copy, move, rename, or delete operations.
Its terminal-first interface works well with Redock shortcuts. Available previews depend on optional tools installed on the Host, so images, PDFs, archives, or code previews may require additional Yazi dependencies.
When to use it
- Explore a large repository tree without repeatedly typing cd, ls, find, and long relative paths.
- Preview source, Markdown, logs, images, PDFs, archives, and generated files while staying in the terminal.

How it works
- Install Yazi on the remote Host.
